After 17 years, Ready Captain is the sequel to the original Hopping Round the World Adventure created by David Dossiere that started on August 3, 2003 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight.
The starting point of Ready Captain has been confirmed! Based on the image below can you guess where?
EXCLUSIVELY for Microsoft Flight Simulator, the Ready Captain Add-on will surpass more than 3,000 takeoffs and landings. We will visit many of the world's most dangerous airports, land on lakes & seas, countless bush flying while discovering unknown strips of grass, ice, dirt and gravel which will test your IFR. IMC and VFR skills in real-world weather conditions while piloting big iron, props & jet props, classics, seaplanes, military tech and possibly some helicopters to uncover as many locations enriching your flying experience.
We WILL visit the continents of Africa, Asia, Antarctica, Australia/Oceania, Europe, North America and South America. The Caribbean will be included along with unheard-of places that you may have to search for online. Each leg will feature local seasons for the date and time flown. Pilots have the flexibility to fly legs solo or with other pilots.
For the first time ever we get to experience the world as it is up close and personal right from the start with superior details of our world in HD goodness.
Some of my favorite brands from prior Microsoft Flightsim includes aircraft from MelJet, SGA, Project OpenSky, KittyHawk, iFDG Airbus to name a few. Which will make a return to the new simulator?
Personally I am very excited for the new tech included right out of the box. All the goodies like marketplace, VATSIM, AI traffic, ATC, real-world weather, flight dynamics are things I am looking forward to testing before starting this EPIC adventure.
The Ready Captain Add-on launch has been delayed to give us more time to test each new default aircraft, freeware aircraft and get familiar with the product.
The V22 Osprey and the V-280 Valor are critical because of their range and ability to land anywhere. You will be very pleased to see where we land these aircraft! I wonder if there are air carriers or in-flight refueling?
In addition to the models from the $119.99 Premium Deluxe Edition we plan on using the Boeing 722, 732, 747SP, 752, DC10, Grumman Mallard G73/G73 Turbo, Dornier 228, V22 Osprey, V-280, F35B, Concorde, Blackbird, SU-57 and a drone for beauty shots.
READY CAPTAIN. You Have Control. 80. V1. Rotate. Positive Rate. Gear Up. See you in the skies!
